Inside Showbiz Magazine released a video of the 2012's 40 Hottest Men in the Philippines (2012) in lieu with its August 2012 issue featuring these 40 scorching hot properties. On the cover of the said 2012 Hote Men issue is Sam Milby (see the cover here).

The said music video showed the Top 40 Hottest Men lipsynching to Backstreet Boys' As Long As You Love Me.

In the said video are some of this years hottest, Sam Milby, Aljur Abrenica, Rocco Nacino, Alden Richards, Slater Young, Phil and James Younghusband, Jake Letts, Kit Thompson, Steven Silva, Mark Herras, Mike Tan, Luke Landrigan, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide, Edgar Allan Guzman, Carlo Romero, Mikael Daez, James Martinez, Ram Sagad, Jaco Benin, Markki Stroem and Aly Borromeo.

Judy Ann Santos Topbills New Teleserye 'Against All Odds', Joined by a Powerhouse Cast

The ‘Queen of Teleseryes’ Judy Ann Santos is set to make her grand return on primetime television via upcoming drama series on ABS-CBN titled Against All Odds. 

Judy Ann will be joined by a powerhouse cast that includes Sam Milby, KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Mylene Dizon, Jessy Mendiola, Joseph Marco, Bryan Termulo, Mr. Tirso Cruz III, and Ms. Coney Reyes.

Judy Ann Santos was last seen on a TV soap via Habang May Buhay in 2010 where she played nurse Jane Alcantara. Now in Against All Odds, we will see a different Judy Ann as the series will promote women empowerment.

With an ensemble of great actors and a great story, we just can't wait to see the return of 'the queen' on television. This will be the first time that Judy Ann and Sam Milby will be working together on a teleserye. Meanwhile, Sam had already worked with the KC Concepcion in the movie Forever and A Day and with Jessy Mendiola via MMK last February.

Sam Milby and Yeng Constantino Surprise PBB Teen Housemates

Fresh from his venture into the Hollywood scene, Kapamilya musician-actor Sam Milby went straight to the Pinoy Big Brother House with singer Yeng Constantino to teach the teen housemates of “PBB Teen Edition 4” the basics of performing live.

The housemates have continued their preparations for the “Build a Big Dream Concert” that was rescheduled this Thursday (May 24) due to their escalating dispute over food last week. Artists such as Emmanuelle, Krissy and Ericka, and The Lamars also gave them pieces of advice on how to engage their audience.

Meanwhile, a special task was given to Alec, Roy, and Ryan that will determine who among them will be automatically nominated for eviction after discussing potential nomination choices, which is a grave violation against the house rules. Kit and Yves were initially named as nominees in danger of getting the boot this Saturday (May 26).

Clodet, the “Prangkang Chikateen of Davao,” was evicted last Saturday (May 19) after getting the lowest number of votes (10.80%) against Mariz (12.72%), Kit (20.89%), and Karen (55.59%).

Judy Ann Santos Back on Teleserye with Sam Milby

Queen of Teleseryes, Ms. Judy Ann Santos will be having her comeback teleserye together with Sam Milby. According to reports, Sam Milby and Judy Ann Santos will also be joined by Jessy Mendiola and KC Concepcion.

Both Judy Ann and Sam have their last appearance in their own teleseryes way back in 2010 with Judy Ann doing the medical drama Habang May Buhay and Sam doing 1DOL opposite Sarah Geronimo. However, Judy Ann hosted Junior Masterchef last year while Sam had his teleserye and MMK guestings.

This will be the first time that Judy Ann and Sam Milby will be working together on a teleserye. Both of them are excited with the project. Judy Ann said in an interview that the material is very good and is not a typical story.

“Kasi may pressure na kasama (dahil matagal na din na hindi nakagawa ng teleserye). Pero maganda ’yung project. Hindi siya ’yung tipikal na teleserye na nawalang kapatid, nawalang nanay, may balat ang anak, walang ganu’n. This is about women empowerment kaya maganda siya," said Judy Ann.

Meanwhile, if ever Jessy Mendiola and KC Concepcion will be included in the cast, Sam will be more comfortabel as he already worked with the two. KC did a movie with Sam (Forever and A Day) while Sam starred in an MMK episode with Jessy Mendiola last February.

Aside from the teleserye, Judy Ann will be starring in her indie film, Mga Mumunting Lihim with Iza Calzado, Janice De Belen and Agot Isidro. She is also considered to replace Ai Ai Delas Alas in an MMFF 2012 entry together with Vic Sotto and Sen. Bong Revilla. Ai Ai was reportedly joining the cast but reports claimed that Star Cinema did not allow the Comedy Queen to go with the project.

Sam Milby to Return to the Philippines this Week

Actor Sam Milby will be returning to the Philippines on Wednesday, May 16 after three months of auditions in the US to pursue a Hollywood career. Sam, however clarified that his return to the country does not mean giving up his dream of making it big in Hollywood.

In an interview with ABS-CBN news, Sam explained that he is back to finish several commitments, which include working on a new TV series and an album, and possibly a new movie. 

Sam said that during his stay in New York, he tried out on several auditions and casting directors had noticed him which will be a booster for his next try out for the casting season of TV series next year.

“All the casting directors are really noticing me, liking me, and that's a big thing. Let alone the agency that is taking me in, that already is a big thing,” he said.

Sam, although did not land a role in a Hollywood TV series will not return without quite an achievement. Sam became a part of Anna Maria Perez de Tagle's charity concert on board the cutting-edge Hornblower Hybrid along with High School Musical's Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth). Anna Maria is the granddaughter of  Kundiman Queen Sylvia La Torre, and has appeared in big Disney projects such as Hannah Montana and Camp Rock. Anna Maria is also starring in the broadway musical, Godspell.

Sam did a great job at Anna Maria's concert that even the latter's manager, Kevin Jonas Sr. (father of the Jonas Brothers) was impressed with his performance.

“Amazed at his talent, obviously the girls love him… He's gonna be okay, judging by the response of the crowd. He will be good. Take it slow and make the right choices,” said Kevin Jonas Sr.

With Sam Milby's return to the Philippines, his fans will be rejoicing as he is said to star in a primetime TV series soon.

Star Cinema Replaces Derek as Bea's Leading Man in Movie

ABS-CBN's film outfit, Star Cinema has decided to replace Derek Ramsay as Bea Alonzo's leading lady in an upcoming movie. This was confirmed by Star Ad Prom director, Roxy Liquigan in an interview by PEP.

It seems that Star Cinema is not keen on getting Derek's services after the hunk actor transferred to TV-5 recently. Derek had already worked for five shooting days in the said movie which is directed by award-winning director Olivia Lamasan.

In a recent interview by PEP, Derek said that he is not bitter nor mad upon being replaced in the movie. He said that he was disappointed, what with being into character already and falling in love with the movie but Derek understands.

“Siyempre I was disappointed, I was really into my character already and I really like the story of the movie. But you know, they are professional in this business, they know what’s best."

“When they feel that it’s better for them to replace me then, I respect that.”

As of now, Star Cinema has yet to announce who will replace Derek in the movie with Bea. There are speculations that Sam Milby is being considered again for the role. It can be recalled that the said movie is especially offered for Sam but the latter declined to pursue his Hollywood dream. Sam is said to return in the country next month.

According to Derek, hes fine with the idea of Sam getting again the role originally for the latter. He was just regretful of not having to work with leading lady Bea Alonzo again. Bea and Derek, together with Sam Milby had worked for the movie And I Love You So in 2009.

“It’s fine, I’ll be very happy for Sam. I even told Sam, sayang yung movie na yun kasi napakaganda ng istorya. So, I’ll be happy kung mababalik yun sa kanya. Sam is one of my few friends in the industry, I’ll be very happy if it’s going back to him." 

“I also love working with Bea, napaka-professional at napakahusay. So, yun lang sayang dun, I’m not gonna work with Bea [again].”

Video: Sam Milby and Chx Alcala Torrid Kissing on PBB House

There is a video getting rounds on the web which features Kapamilya heartthrob Sam Milby and ex-PBB housemate Chx Alcala in an act of torrid kissing. The video was taken inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, particularly at the pool, during the course of the very first season of PBB which had Sam and Chx as housemates.

Part of the said video created buzz way back in 2005 after MTRCB released a suspension order on PBB Season 1. As compliance, PBB did not air for an episode. With the video's content and theme, maybe it was not aired fully on national TV as per MTRCB rules and regulations (and an SPG Rating was not yet conceptualized at the time).

The video was uploaded by a certain jaypyx on YouTube October last year and as of this writing, it has about 52K hits. Aside from Sam and Chx, ex-housemates Cass Ponti and Uma Khouny were also in the video.

Sam Milby Joins Anna Maria and Corbin Bleu in Concert

Actor Sam Milby will be part of Anna Maria Perez de Tagle's benefit concert on May 7 on board the Hornblower Hybrid, a cutting-edge boat by the world-famous Hornblower Cruises & Events. The said concert, which will benefit Anna Maria's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, will also feature High School Musical star, Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth) and Anna Maria's other Godspell musical co-stars.

The said benefit concert will have topnotch musician Sonny Paladino (High School Musical, Billy Elliot) as musical director. According to him, fans can expect a mixture of pop and musical theater from the said concert. 

Sam Milby has been in New York for about 2 months now to for a series of auditions to try his luck in Hollywood. The Fil-Am actor became friends with Anna Maria (who is the granddaughter of Sylvia La Torre, the country's Queen of Kundiman) two years ago when they met in a Star Magic event in California.

Although Sam have not yet bag a role as an actor in Hollywood, it seems that he has landed on a one big stepping stone to make it as a singer there after this special guesting in Anna Maria's first major concert (see how Sam and Corbin's photos are much larger than the other guest performers). If Sam's career did not take off in the US, he still have his in the Philippines. After all, he just gave himself a 3-month deadline for auditions (which is much too short to be noticed by Hollywood scouts).

Coco Martin is Voted as the Philippines' Sexiest Man for 2012

Actor Coco Martin is voted as the "Sexiest Man in the Philippines for 2012" in the annual poll of 100 Sexiest Men conducted by the country's leading entertainment blog, Starmometer.com. This is the 2nd time Coco Martin held the title, the first one being in 2010.

Coco garnered a total of 29,918 votes, more than 2,000 votes higher than second placer and Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica who got 27,601 votes. Completing this year's top 10 sexiest men in the country are ace comedian Vhong Navarro (#3), Xian Lim (#4), Paulo Avelino (#5), Gerald Anderson (#6), JM de Guzman (#7), Enrique Gil (#8), Derek Ramsay (#9) and Sam Milby (#10).

Previous winners of the said poll were Sam Milby in 2007, Piolo Pascual in 2008, Aljur Abrenica in 2009, and Enchong Dee in 2011.

Sam Milby banners the recent summer 2012 ad campaign of popular clothing brand Folded and Hung. The hunk actor show off his well-chiseled abs in this new collection by the said brand.

Sam is currently out of the country to pursue his hollywood dream and will be back 3 months after. However, he will still grace some tours in the US including Angeline Quinto's Dream Tour (see schedule here) and the Star Magic and Primetime Bida US Tour this March and April 2012, respectively (see schedule here).

After the Star Magic US Tour on March 30, 2012 at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu Hawaii, Gerald and Xian will join Pokwang, Sam Milby, Rayver Cruz and Enchong Dee in California for another tour.
